COMPOSITION & CONDUCTING
At the University of Georgia, Britt currently studies Music Composition with a certificate in Film & Media Scoring. She is currently working with the UGA Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities to study and write a chamber piece for the narrative of sounds under the mentorship of Dr. Emily Koh. In her first year of her undergraduate degree, she has collaborated with multiple in-house ensembles at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music; these include Dr. Amy Pollard’s bassoon studio, Dr. Brandon Quarles’ saxophone studio, the UGA Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, and Subaerial Collective. She has also had a work read by the Khemia Ensemble during their visit at UGA. Britt continues to be involved in the composition community at UGA through her membership in the Student Composers Association board as its Social Media Chair.
In June of 2025, Britt was selected as a Partial Participant of the Georgia Festival of Music's "The Art of Conducting Workshop", studying under Maestros Michael Palmer and Logan Souther. She also currently holds the position of Music Co-Chair of UGA’s chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, involving leading music rehearsals and conducting sisterhood songs. In October 2024, she participated as a conductor in the UGA Choral Directors Association Undergraduate Conducting Recital.
In July of 2024, Britt’s two-act musical theatre work, Empire: The story of Napoleon and Josephine, premiered at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth, GA. As a result of its rousing success, individual live selections from the work have been released on streaming platforms. Pieces from Empire have also been performed at the Spotlight on the Arts Festival at UGA and at Momentum Arts' musical theatre cabarets.
Before her time at university, Britt was honored to be a selected composer for her solo soprano work, “Books & Bronze”, featured in both the Loyola Marymount New Music on the Bluff Festival in Los Angeles (2022) and Vox Novus’ “Fifteen Minutes of Fame” in New York City (2023).
VOICE & THEATRE
Britt is studying Music Performance with a concentration in mezzo-soprano voice at the University of Georgia with Dr. Amy Petrongelli and Dr. Wanda Yang Temko. Professor Michael Hadary. In Athens, she performs with the UGA Opera Theatre, where she appeared as Serpetta in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera under the direction of Daniel Ellis. In UGA Opera Theatre's Opera Scenes program, she also portrayed Susanna from Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. Other university singing opportunities include performing at the UGA Morehead Honors College Convocation and singing with the UGA Hodgson Singers, Repertory Singers, and UGA Women’s Glee Club. Britt was also named a First Prize Winner at the Charleston Music Competition's 2025 New Year's Music Competition.
Before university, she has received many accolades for her singing, including the Musical Theatre Solo Thespy Award at Georgia Thespian Conference for three consecutive years between 2022 and 2024; this was paired with an all “Superior” rating at the International Thespian Festival in 2022. Another highlight of Britt’s high school work was her participation in the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program as a vocalist.
Previous training includes that of Professor Michael Hadary, Amy Spanger, and Billy Tighe & Kristine Reese of City Springs Theatre Company's Pre-Professional Program.
MUSIC DIRECTION & TRACK CREATION
Britt’s recent work as a Music Director includes assisting Holt McCarley during City Springs Theatre Conservatory's production of Footloose in the summer of 2025. Grease: The Musical with UGA’s student-run musical theatre organization, NextAct. In the fall semester of 2024, she also music directed and conducted the cast and band of NextAct’s “Road to Fame” Cabaret. Her recent professional experience includes her work as a Music Director and Theatre Instructor at the Oconee Youth School of Performance, City Springs Theatre Company, Momentum Arts, Out Front Theatre, and Blue Ridge Community Theater. During her time at these companies, Britt also created and arranged accompaniment tracks as needed for cabarets, showcases, and even full shows.
LIVE PERFORMANCE
Along with voice, Britt also plays piano, drums, and guitar. Her most recent gigs have been on drum set for Town & Gown Players' production of Bright Star and Oconee Youth School of Performance's production of Urinetown, both in Athens, GA. On piano, she has accompanied Atlanta actors Max Walls and Kayla Furie at the Out Front Theatre Company in their cabaret “Born to Entertain”. Other accompaniment work includes Lain Walls’ new work, An Average British Evening, at Momentum Arts, for which she was nominated for Best Music Direction & Orchestra Performance by BroadwayWorld Atlanta. She has studied piano under the mentorship of Greg Matteson and Bill Graham.
